How to order a Beer in a Bar in Madrid?
First of all, beer in Spain is sold by the type of glass. This is why locals always say “Ponme una caña” instead of “A beer please”. Caña is the smallest glass where beer is served, is less than 10 oz. If you need something bigger to quench your thirst ask for a “tubo” around 10 ounces or a “jarra” meaning a jar, tankard, mug, stein or pint. Also you can as for a “botella” or “botellín”, meaning “bottle” containing 10 ounces and “small bottle” 6 ounces.

In Fabrica Maravillas, they define themselves as the only mini brewery in Madrid. They are located in Las Maravillas boroughs, another way to call the trendiest quarter of Malasaña. La Fabrica Maravillas has a variety of handcraft beers with exotic names, like, Malasaña Ale a rye pale ale, FL(ipa) a spicy beer, or Imperial Stout a dense black beer. The bar is really nice creating the perfect atmosphere to enjoy a good beer.

El Pedal
The name is a double entendre meaning at the same time a pedal and local way to call a booze-up. This brewery is located in the famous Lavapies borough. It is handle by three young guys who love drinking and making beer. They have their own handmade beer, but also sale beer from around the world.
